A wool lover since a small child, I enjoyed latch hook rug making and knitting, as well as fine woolen sweaters and scarves. In the sixth grade, a dear friend brought a beautiful hand woven wool scarf from Argentina that was a precious possession for many years until one day it was oops, naturally felted when it turned up in the laundry. Inspired also in North India by the felted wool Namdas that the village people sat upon in their homes, and as a Yogini and floor sitter, I was drawn to such a "cushiony" experience in every day life.
In Mount Shasta, CA. in 2004, I was introduced to the wet felting process and the needle felting tools that I use today. I am blessed to live near a wool carding mill, as well as those talented in dying and creating with wool.
